Delivery PWA integrated with SBIS Presto
The client came to us with a finished mobile app design, having decided to launch as a PWA plus a website. Midway through development, the company switched its restaurant management system from iiko to SBIS Presto — an early-stage product with a raw API. We had to rewrite the entire integration, adapt the mobile design for the web, and solve a host of problems with the new API.
We built the service on Laravel + Nuxt.js as a PWA. We adapted the mobile design into a full-fledged web version. The app is also published on the App Store.
When the client switched from iiko to SBIS Presto, we had to rewrite the integration from scratch. The product’s API was at an early stage, and many functions were missing. We figured out undocumented capabilities on our own, worked around limitations, and fought with support for access to the data we needed. For example, data on delivery outlets can’t be fetched in a single request — it takes 3–4 requests to pull it.
We set up separate payment acquiring for each dispatch outlet, since every restaurant is its own legal entity. We implemented sign-in via SMS, a Telegram bot, and VK ID. We integrated delivery zone calculation through the Yandex Maps API in place of the inaccurate OpenStreetMap built into SBIS. We set up Google Sheets integration so kitchen settings can be managed on the fly.
We’d like to share our experience of working with Rupor, the company that developed our website. It was our first experience working with this kind of company, and it turned out to be truly instructive — with its share of difficulties and some real highlights. At the start of the project, we ran into some problems: working with the first manager involved delays in feedback, and revision timelines stretched out noticeably.
